NTU UOC Pageant 2012 PAGE!!!

NTU UOC Pageant 2012 is here again!!!!

Every year during UOC, a couple will be handpicked by their group members and also the pageant committee to represent their own group in a fight off to be crowned as the UOC Queen & King! A whole night of excitement and programs for everyone to enjoy!

It will be on 1st September 2012 at ZOUK so stay tuned here as i will be giving out more info like ticket price and who to buy from when the date get closer!

SOOOooooo... Who am I?

My name is Klain.C and I am roped in last minute by the chairman to be the main designer and photographer for the event! I will be discussing the designs i made for the event and also post info about the event like backstage photographs and detail or our lovely and handsome contestants!

first off!

Design and Graphic!

As part of my job, I will have to design the logo, poster, ticket and backdrop for the event. It was a interesting job as i was roped in last minute thus i have no idea what the pageant lined up is going to be, not even the theme.

As told by the chairman, the theme this year was "LES ENFANTS OLYMPE" and it meant Child Of God in french, the initial theme was actually TimeLine but it was changed to this. The first thing that come up my mind when i hear the theme was Greek and Roman god like Thor and Zeus. An interesting concept for a pageant indeed. So the first challenge will be to produce a decent logo for the event.

i flipped through past year pageant logo to get inspiration but did not get any at all since most of the time the logo had no link with the theme at all. so i start coming up with my own concept and idea generation with the help of my girlfriend. I wanted the logo to contain the figure of a man and lady to show that it is a pageant. I also wanted it to have a majestic feel thus i decided to look for old European style patterns and design. My girlfriend added that I should also include some elements of god or Greek. It took about 2 days and 12 different versions to create something that i feel is decent.

This is still not the final logo design yet as i might make some changes along the way.




After the concept of the logo is done, i decided to move on to the design of the poster and ticket. As what i had learn in school, it is important to have a continuity in all the design of different promotional materials. As such, i decided to use the same background for poster, ticket and possible backdrop.

The reason for such a colorful background is to show that the pageant event is also a fun filled event and not just a usual serious pageant competition.

UOC Pageant 2012

all right guys! remember i last told you all that i am the main photographer and designer for the UOC Pageant 2012? recetly i have been working on the design of the poster and stuff.

i have decided to actually set up a whole new page to delicate to UOC Pageant  2012 which will be talking about the event and also my work on it like logos and photographs. It will also include the details of the contestant once they have been selected during the camp!

Currently the camp will be happening on 23rd to 27th July 2012 and more information can be found HERE!!!! It will be a fun filled week of non stop excitement!!! i enjoyed my own UOC back in 2009!!

Diablo 3: Development Hell

Hello people! i am back again to update everyone on a secret level for diablo 3:)

as i have completed diablo 3 till hell level and max out at level 60, i had been bored by repeating the same game again and again so i went online to look around for any secret level. i have been to pony land in nightmare level ( wasted my 200K to upgrade from normal to nightmare mode) and written a walkthrough for it so now i am going to write about another secret level call Development Hell


There is only one requirement which is that it only appear in nightmare mode and harder. i guess they want people to finish the game at least once before trying it out. i found it in Hell mode.

So what you need to do?

first off, make sure you are in nightmare mode or harder. start the quest: "A shattered Crown" and talk to the blacksmith who will then brign you to go kill his wife. ( side note, optional: you can let the blacksmith kill his own wife to gain another achievement)

After the wife is dead, you will embark another journey to go find the crown in the "cemetery of the forsaken" by right, inside the cemetery, there should be 3 "Defiled Crypt" where one of them contain the crown. Once you reach the cemetery, you will reach a waypoint and also the checkpoint so just walk around the cemetery to check out how many crypt there is.

If there is four then you are lucky cause one of them have to be " Development Hell", if there is only three, leave the game and resume the game and you should appear in the cemetery again due to the checkpoint:) There is no need to even go in to check, just point to it and it will tell you if the crypt is :development Hell" or "Defiled Crypt".

There is nothing special inside just that all the mob inside has the name of the development team which i dun know any of them. lol. The big boss is Jay which after you defeated it will unlock a achievement in " Feat Of Strength", the same rank as pony land and unlock a banner sign.
