burn out!

no no no.

this post is not about the game, it is about how i am feeling now.

before the sem start when i was still playing with STARS, i told myself, ok la, 23 AU only, should still be ok. but right now i am feeling the feel impact of it. OMG!

everyday i looked at my whiteboard planner and it is just filled with meeting and test and presentation. i really need a good break! oh wait! there is a recess week:) oh wait! recess week was already over even before i can rest!:((

currently this sem i am taking a course call mind over stress which teach us about stress and how to deal with it. hopefully what i have to learn will ease my stress and not add on to it! just had the test for it ytd and i must say, it seem easy enough but i am really pondering if i should SU it.

i just bought a new RAZER keyboard because my old one is really dirty and the layout was not really very nice. i know how people always saying u are paying more for the brand when u buy razer but currently i am loving it. more liek because i have a $30 voucher so i end up paying only $44 for it. lol.

i also just bought a new Nat Geo camera backpack from EBAY! usual price was $240 according to its official webby but there is this guy selling it at $150 due to offer for 5 days. but this seller is also having a bidding offer at the same time so i manage to buy one at only $100! hahahah! hope it turn out to be real and in good condition and quality! the bag really look cool and nice! able to contain all my camera body and lens and flash. it even have more space for my tripod and a laptop! will post pic of it when it come!:)

ok people! time for me to sleep cause i have early morning lesson tomolo!:(( actually i am very sleepy right now but i just here to blog to test out my new kayboard! really really hope my nat geo bag arrive before i go for my msia trip to watch motorgp next weekend!

verdict for my new keyboard is~~~~~ appear to be nicely build and feel good to use it! i just love the mute and volume adjust option on the keyboard! cause currently i am using my laptop as a cpu for my 27inch led thus having a good keyboard mean i can control almost anything even actually touching my laptop!  HEH!

Project ChinaTown

I t was Mid Autumn Festival 2012 over in ChinaTown and so i decided to take a walk down the street for some festive feeling and photos.

The crowds was of course large even if it is not the actual day. the street was filled with lights and lanterns. Everyone was gathered together to enjoy shopping along the night markets or take a break with some food from the food street. Our elderly was treated with live performances on stage while some of them preferred to play their chess.

the "NEW" iphone 5?

i may not be the first, but i am sure i wont be the last to laugh at the latest iphone 5!

so on 12 september 2012, APPLE decided to release its latest product, the new iphone 5. so whats is its new specification?

- 18 percent thinner (0.30 inch vs. 0.37 inch thick) than the iPhone 4S.
-  20 percent lighter for a total of 3.95 ounces.
- Retina Display expands from 3.5 inches (its size since the original iPhone) to 4 inches.
-  total pixel count is 1,136x640 and now have a 16:9 aspect ratio.
- 44 percent more color saturation than on the iPhone 4S.
-  an A6 chip, which is two times faster than the current A5 chip
-More battery life?
- and a new smaller connector port they call lightning.
- that all? are u kidding me?


i am not an apple fan but i am always on a look out for functions or device that can improve productivity in life. in our fast pace world, being able to work fast and smart mean earning an edge over the rest. in the past, APPLE had been impressive with its functions and style that allow users to use their phone easily. But of course, they limit what you can do with your phones too.

I just learn in school that as our  get complicated, so does our chance of error with the device increase. so apple counter this by limiting the user what they can do with the phone. in the end, user can really do much customization and everyone end up with a similar iphone. no style! which is why i choose the "green robot"!

ANW! so if we look closely at the new iphone 5, you will see that the main improvement is just the specification. better speed,better camera, better siri, better this and that. WAIT! so where is the WOW factor? there is really none actually... there is no new functions in the phone at all that make me excited. and it look exactly the same as iphone 4s just that it is now longer. As a matter of fact, i would feel iphone 4s is more impressive with its new siri function. ok, they have this new map apps that is suppose to get APPLE away from google map and it have turn by turn NAV. come on APPLE, there are tons of apps in the market now that can do that and it only cost less than $20.

if you do not get what i mean by WOW factors, please do go youtube and search for samsung NOTE 2 video. you will totally understand my feeling.

sorry APPLE, you had failed again in pulling me over to your side with those crappy product. for now, NOTE 2 is what i am really looking for!

GV11 ~ Creative use of 2D media

In April 2011, I was tasked, as part of my school project, to design promotional materials for an arbitrary products or services.

This project required a group of 4 members to select or create an arbitrary product or service and produces promotional materials like posters for it. In the end, our group decided to cafe and we named it OOZE! We had also decided to came up with posters, invitation cards and also menu as our promotional materials.

OOZE is a cafe that sells delicious and healthy dessert like yogurts or low fat cake. Furthermore, we decided to follow the concept of the famous Japanese "Maid Cafe" but in our cafe, the customers will be served by handsome young men dressed in suit and were also celebrity look alike! Just imagine being served by "Tom Cruise" or even "Zac Effron" while enjoying non-sinful yet delicious dessert! Indeed, this is an pleasure that will make anyone go Oozeeee~

2. POSTERS

To make things more interesting, we decided to create a poster that is out of the traditional rectangular shape! All our posters will be in a shape of a man and designed with the theme that will represent a certain celebrity. The size of the poster will be in 1:1 ratio with the celebrity that it represent. Furthermore, The middle of the poster can be opened up like a window to reveal our more information and also the dessert that represent and also named after a certain celebrity.

3. INVITATION CARD

The invitation card will also be in the shape of a man wearing a suit! when you pulled out the content, it will reveal the relevant information. Furthermore, the invitation card will be placed on the poster itself thus when the audience opened the middle of the posters, they will see the card and also take one for more information.

4. MENU

To ensure unity and a common identity in all our promotional materials and ideas, we had decided to use the shape of a man for our menu too. It will be a fold out leaflet in the shape of a men in suit.

Angsta T-shirt Design

In July 2012, I offered to help my OG junior(ANGSTA) in UOC 2012 to design their t-shirt for them.

 The original design that i came up with. However, it was rejected for being too flashy.

 The second design that i came up with! A simple design with only two colours. However, this was also rejected due to the high cost of printing since there is 2 colours.
