McCrispy? A McSpicy without the Spicy!
Have you try the new McCrispy Burger yet? Can you tell the difference by the above photo which is McCrispy and which is McSpicy? well, I cant! Appearance wise it look exactly the same. If you ask me, i would say it is just McSpicy without the spicy!
McBites is another failure if you ask me. Sorry if this offend anyone! I just hope they can come out with a more unique new menu. Til then, I will still choose McSpicy!
HOYA HD UV Filter 77mm
HOHO! Your photo is only as good as your glass! That is what i learn online when researching about filter. This filter is damn expensive! It finally came after waiting for 1 week since i bought it from E-bay.( I saved about $50!)
So...What is so great about this filter? I am not very sure too but online had been claiming it to be the king of filter. I just bought it since i had already bought a good lens so I should but a decent filter instead of the usual brand-less filter.
This is suppose to be about 4 time harder than any other filter and it is resistance to almost anything. I did not try it out (I would be crazy if i start hitting my filter once i bought it) but apparently some online guy actually try it out by hitting it on the table and it just wont break! I just hoped that it is as good as it had be claimed!

Botanic Garden II
It is amazing how much botanic garden had changed over the last 10 years when I was still a young kid. Went there with my family to explore the place and IT IS VERY HOT! We went right under the trees for shade every few minutes and I am sure I will get sun burned on my neck!
So what is new in botanic garden? ALOT OF STUFF! I did not manage to explore the whole garden but i am deeply impressed by the effort they made to upkeep the garden as well as the many different exhibition they have there! The first will got to be their Evolution Garden where they showcase the different plants species from the past til now. The second will be their Herb Garden which made my parent go gaga over them!
Here is some of my photos:)
Evolution Garden
Herb Garden
I must say that this trip down to botanic garden is made specially to test out my new canon 17-40mm L. The image are sharp, lens is very fast and focus is spot on most of the time! OF course, the images in herb garden are taken using my canon 60mm macro instead.

Canon 17-40mm L Personal Review
Today is the first time i took this lens out for a field test and there is only one way to say this, THIS IS A VERY SHARP AND FAST LENS!
I heard over to the botanic garden with my family for some photo action and I am amazed by how incredible this lens is! The focus is fast, the image is sharp, it feel like it can handle anything thrown at it. Of course, it do have some issue with it, at least for mine. I personally feel that the zoom ring is kind of tight and it kind of uncomfortable to use. The focus ring on the other hand is kind of loose, making it hard to fine tune my focus. But keep this in mind, this is a wide angle lens thus precise focus like in macro is not needed. Most of the time the focus is spot on but if somehow the focus is off, I an easily just manual focus it since it have full time manual focus. Due to the short range, i feel that macro shoot with this lens is a big no no, i would rather pluck in my canon 60mm macro (which i did in some close up shot).
So in the nut shell, THIS is a VERY GOOD AND FAST lens! If you have money to spare and is looking for a good upgrade from your kit lens, please go ahead and buy this:)
Photos taken using this lens will be up soon!:)

Canon 17-40mm L
![](http://www.wlcastleman.com/equip/reviews/17-40/17-40.jpg)
An exciting new day for me! In about 4 hours time, I will be recieving my first L lens. Had been thinking about it for very long due to the high cost but after some struggle, I have finally decided to invest some cash into it. Was initially deciding bewteen 16-35mm L or 17-40mm L but their price difference is a wooping $1000++.
Read many good review about this lens so decided to trust my gut and go along with it! Will post my own review about this lens once i gotten and and brought it out for a field trip!
Stay Tuned!

When I was there, it was just after a slight rain in the evening and the sun finally came out but was soon setting. I tried to find a good location to catch that last burst of warm glow before the stars come out but soon it started to rain again and i had to call it a day. It was a good location with many natures around to capture and I am sure I will be back there again. Hopefully this time the duck wont be sleeping again.
Punggol WaterWay

The Punggol Waterway was finally done up after much anticipation and I heard there was even a grand opening for it with some minister and such coming over. However, I was not there during the grand opening but instead to wait til a nice quiet weekend before heading over where i could have the whole area to myself.
It was raining slightly but that did not stopped me from walking there since I lived near that area. However, i regretted going on a raining evening as everything seem down and gloomy. To make thing worse, i forgot to pack in my 60mm macro lens which i took out the day before. A very interesting concept for a new park in Punggol, will go back there once I have the time and it is not raining.
