UOC Pageant 2012 ~ FINAL UPDATE!!!!

YO YO YO YO YOOOO!!!

It is just one more day before the great UOC Pageant 2012 at ZOUK! Yup that right!!! Tomorrow, 1 September 2012, will be the night where 8 couples fight it out on stage to be crowned as the King & Queen of UOC 2012! Everyone will be expected to be at the venue for entrance at 7pm sharp!! Please do not be late ok????

Haven gotten your tickets due to your busy schedule??? NO FRET!!! We kind of expected it so we will be having door sales on that day itself!!!! Ticket will be priced at $16 and while stock last!!!! So just head down to ZOUK( i am pretty sure everyone knows how to use Google map) before 7pm and approach our door sales counter to purchase your tickets! :)

The event lineup are great too!! We had the beach casual display where the guys will be wearing tight fitting singlet and the girls in hot shorts! Watch how the guys try to impress that one girl they met on the beach and find romance in it:) Dance segments is a must watch as the girls and guys show you what they are make of on the stage with their amazing moves! Finally a formal segments where the girls put on their gorgeous dresses and wait for their prince charming to pick them up in a all different walks and poses choreographic planned by the couples themselves!  Of course there are more than just this but lets not spoiled the fun so just head down to ZOUK and support them!

As part of the unofficial committee, I had personally helped and trained in some of their moves and walks and i must admit, THEY WERE GREAT!:) here are some photos during their training to keep your heart pumping before the events start tomorrow!!!

School Life I

School have started for about 3 weeks by now and it had been one of my most busiest time ever!

firstly due to the outrageous amount of AU i have left and secondly cause of the UOC Pageant 2012. I have been trainign with the jnr almost every night til about 10pm before leaving NTU. since i stay in hougang, i usually only reach home by 12 midnight! and this is...TIRING!!!! but oh well, all these crazy training is gonna end tomorrow since it is the event day already!

so what can i say about it!

As i was in the pageant 3 years ago too thus i felt a need for me to help out at least once before i grad. Thus i decided to help out with the designing of their logo, ticket, backdrop and posters. It was the first time i have to handle all the promotional material on my own and it can be very hectic as i have no experience in this field. But i did have a strong interest in it! so in the end i still managed to pull it off but i was really worried that the results was not good and people might not be happy about my design!

the jnr this years was rather lively and fun to be around with, it was enjoyable to train them as most of them do listen well and change the way they do certain things like poses and walk. I can only wish them all the best to them tomorrow since it will be their stage and show!

So after all these is over, i will finally be able to spend more times on my study and my gf who i had neglected for the past few weeks:((( SORRRYYYYY~~~

Diablo 3 ~ Paragon Level( an attempt to recover)

HELLO!!

it had been awhile since i have last posted anything! I had quit diablo for about 2 to 3 weeks ago as the game had began to become boring and repetitive. it is kind of slow of Blizzard to release the PVP mode and this had cost numerous "used to be" hardcore fans to gave up on the game. WHY?

firstly, story line was unbalanced, ACT 1 and 2 is so so freaking long but yet ACT 3 and 4 is so so freaking short. there isnt enough side quest! they really should learn from Final Fantasy Series in putting more side quests or even some unique quest that can only be done in group or with specific group of class. This will make the game more interesting. dun you think so?

Secondly, Not everyone who play this game for the farming part. I totally understand Inferno should be the hardest level but farming for months for a certain items to proceed on to the next ACT is just plain stupid. We already know what is the story line when we completed the easier mode, I just dun have the motivation to farm for century just to go to the next ACT with the exact story line and quests.

So in an attempt to stop more gamer from leaving, they seem to have created a new system call paragon level. so what it basically done is that after level 60 which is the max, you will continued to gain paragon level( starting from 0 all the way to 100) from the experience you gain from killing mob! every paragon level give you 3% to mf and gold find and also the usual small increase in Stats. a cool factors to make people to play more and train since we are no longer just blindly farming, we are making our char stronger along the way.

so due to this, some useless eq had suddenly become very valuable!! those eq that give bonus exp suddenly is a hot item like the legendary ring( leoric signet, a level 14 item) which gives average 25% more exp suddenly cost 100million?!??!.

currently i am at paragon 6 and gaining this paragon level is not exactly a fun thing to do too. but i guess it is better than nothing!

UOC Pageant Couple Photoshoot!

i truly believe that everyone is good at one kind of design! it can be something that had been discovered like oil painting or even something that are still waiting to be found! so to everyone out there, dun stop looking for that hidden talent in you!

that is why i just keep trying on all kind of designing task from drawing, to photoshop, to graphic design and even photography!

on 20 august 2012, i had my very first real outdoor photoshoot with models! usually, i would just go out and start snapping beautiful items with creative angle but this time round, it is real! As i was the main photographer for the UOC Pageant 2012, I had been tasked with taking couple shots for the contestant too! a total of 8 couple gathered at ADM in NTU!

As this is my first photoshoot, i was rather confused and lost on what to do. i had no experience at all and most of the models are still fresh and shy. had a hard time initially but soon i am getting used to it! the theme was First Date.

The shoot was going well until it starts to pour so we had no choice but to went into ADM to continue the shoots. It was real bad as there was limited amount of backdrop we can use and the lightning was real bad too! to make it worse, there was no air-con in it since it was a holiday.

In the end we still managed to pull it off with at 2 nice photos from each couple.

due to the really really big lightning, i had a really hard time taking decent photos. that explain why some couples have lesser photos than the others but i had try to salvage as many as i can!

actually i would really love to help everyone take a real couple shots again with real nice backdrop instead of ADM. Kind of disappointed when i was told right before the shoot that this shoot was actually to showcase the bag and since the jnr did not have a couple shoot yet so combine the two shoot together.

If i would have know that, i would insist that they shoot a real couple shots and then i will ask the girls to come another day to pose with the bags in group or solo. HAIZ!!
